Michael Mason

Michael R. Mason, age 61, of Wadena, passed away Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. A Memorial service is planned for Wednesday, March 11, at 2:00 PM at the Thomastown Covenant Church of rural Staples with Pastor David Harlow officiating.

Michael Robert Mason was born on February 7, 1948, in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Robert and Patricia Mason. Mike and Shirley began as penpals and eventually met in Denver. They have been together for 30 years and were blessed with 2 daughters, Michelle and Sabrina. He was a self employed Computer Tech doing Web graphic design and computer repair. For the past 2 years the couple lived in Wadena, prior to that they were in Little Falls for a short time and rural Browerville for many years. Mike was very generous with his time and talent and enjoyed helping people. He also loved to read, do photography, and play both computer and board games. But most of all he was a family man who loved being with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Patricia. Mike will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Shirley of Wadena; children, Michelle Mason of Moultrie, GA, and Sabrina Mason of Wadena; 3 grandchildren, Logan Mason, Xena Knecht, and Connor Mason; 4 brother; and 2 sisters.
