Michael Brening

Michael J. Brening, age 51, of Pine River, passed away early Friday morning, April 10, 2009, at his home near Pine River. A Celebration of Michaels life will be at a later date.
Michael James Brening was born on April 24, 1957, in Minneapolis, MN, the son of James and Marcia (Strand) Brening. Following his schooling he began working for C.H. Carpenter Lumber Company in Bloomington. In 1979 he was united in marriage to Carol Martin in Minneapolis. They were able to share 30 years of marriage together. After 25 years of working for the lumber company he went out on his own as a carpenter. In 2000 the family moved to the Pine River area where he built their home. Michael loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marcia. Michael will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Carol of Pine River; sons, Nathan (Jean) Brening of Shakopee, MN, and Cyrus Brening of Pine River; 2 grandchildren, Grant and Gavin; sister, Michelle Martin; and brother, Patrick Brening.
