Melvin Johnson

Melvin A. Johnson, age 90, of Pequot Lakes, passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 in Tuscaloosa, AL.

He was born to John and Bessie Johnson on July 11, 1922, in rural Pequot Lakes.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Jewell; children: Dwayne Johnson (Kathy) of Dawson, MN, Dwight Johnson (Deb) of Pine River, MN, Joyce Lael (Jim) of Clarksville, TN, Vernon Johnson (Deb) of Pequot Lakes, MN, Danny Johnson of Pine River, MN, Burt Johnson of Greeneville, TN, Jean Price (Rick) of Tuscaloosa, AL; brother in law, Wayne Leek (Vera) of Pequot Lakes, MN; 27 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred (Sally) Johnson; sons, Ronald Johnson, Alvin Johnson, Merlyn Johnson; daughter, Mary Larson; sister, Anabelle Leek; grandsons, Ryan Johnson and Ricky Price.

Services will be 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 23, at Pleasant Hill Community Church, rural Pequot Lakes. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
