Maxine MickeyDoyle, age 84,of Staples, died early Tuesday morning at the Lakewood Health Center in Staples. Funeral services will be Monday, February 6, 2006 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Peter Kirchner officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, from 1-4PM at Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Interment will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples, MN. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Staples. Maxine Margaret Doyle was born in Staples, MN, to Luke Joseph Marden and Margaret M. (Cain) Marden on October 9, 1921.. She grew up in Staples and attended schools there. She was united in marriage to Frank L. Doyle on October 9, 1939. They lived throughout Minnesota with extended stays in Duluth, Minneapolis and settled in Staples about 1964. During her time in Duluth she started working as an interior decorator with JC Penneys and continued doing so while in Minneapolis. When she returned to Staples she remained with Penneys by working out of the St. Cloud store. She was awarded JC Penneys National Sales Award 3 times, and retired in the 70s. She and her husband went on to do property management for about ten years. Upon officialretirement Mickey& Frank spent their winter months in Las Vegas, NV, and their summer months in Staples. She gained many good friends in the Las Vegas area. Raising their family of five children brought her much joy. She enjoyed playing cards, reading, her flower gardens, her children, grandchildren, and great grand children. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Christian Mothers, a 50 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She is survived by her children; Frank B. (Darlene) Doyle, Green Bay, WI, Terry L. Doyle, Bovey, MN, Michael L. Doyle, Las Vegas, NV, Patrick D. Doyle, Las Vegas, NV, Debra A. (Larry) Fontaine, Las Vegas, NV.; brothers and sisters: James (Lorraine) Marden, Mankato, Dorothy Endres, Wadena, Ken (Marinda) Marden, Cloquet, Robert (Merle) Marden, Staples, Mary Lou Sigfried, Minneapolis, John (Beverly) Marden, Fridley, Jeanette Warner, Palm Desert,CA, Joan (Victor) Kern, Wadena, George (Gloria) Marden, Staples, 14 grandchildren, & 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; sisters Lorraine Shannon, Betty Ann Nelson, and brothers Philip and Richard Marden.
