Mavis Stieve

Mavis MasieDottie Stieve, 76, of Pequot Lakes, died at her home Sunday, April 12, 2009. Services for Masie will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Pequot Lakes. Friends are welcome to gather Friday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral chapel.
Masie was born October 17, 1932 in Howard Lake, MN, the daughter of Raymond and Mabel (Baumgarten) Rauschendorfer. She was united in marriage to Frank Stieve in Montrose, MN on January 8, 1949. The couple lived in Maple Plain until 1972 at which time they moved to Ideal Township. Masie enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, waitressing, and visiting with people. She liked to bowl, camp, fish and sing in the choir. Masie also liked her pets and watching birds.

Masie will be missed by her husband, Frank; her children, Allen (Judy) Stieve, of Maple Plain, James (Judy) Stieve, of Hamel, Frank (Julie) Stieve, of Maple Plain, and Forrest Stieve, of Pequot Lakes; seven grandchildren, Vickie Stieve, Shane Stieve, Amy Stieve, Sarah Sievert, Melody Stieve, Rhonda Collette, and Coddy Stieve; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary; and brother, Donald.
