Matthew DePaoli

Gail DePaoli, age 71, of Baxter, formerly of Nisswa, passed away July 24, 2008, at St. Joesephs Medical Center in Brainerd. Husband, Matthew DePaoli, age 80, passed away July 29, 2008, at St. Joesephs Medical Center in Brainerd. A double memorial service will be held at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, near Camp Ripley, Tuesday, August 12th, at 11a.m.
Matthew and Gail were married on October 18, 1955, in Pennsylvania. They moved to the Brainerd Lakes area in 1970. They owned Sportland Sporting Goods of Nisswa from 1970 to 1976. Matthew worked at various jobs; at Ski Gull, Nisswa Inn, and had his own handyman service. He did golf maintenance at Craguns Resort. He has served as secretary for the Nisswa Chamber. Matthew was a member of the Nisswa American Legion. Gail worked at Anderson Scales, before retiring.

They are survived by their son, Robert (Barbara) DePaoli Sr. of Nisswa; grandchildren Robert DePaoli Jr. of Nisswa, and Amy DePaoli of Buckeye, Arizona. Gail is survived by her sister, Donna (Earl) Dunmeyer of Mt. Arry, Maryland. Gail is preceded in death by her parents Phillip and Marie Bigley; and brothers Jim and Buddy Bigley. Matthew is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Matthew DePaoli Sr.; and sister Blanche PatchyCastine.

Memorial Services and Interment will be held for Matthew and Gail at a later date at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls, MN.
