Mathew Schellekens

Mathew A. Schellekens, age 83, died at his home in Hudson, Wisconsin on Thursday, January 10, 2008. He was born March 28, 1924 in Shertugen Bosch, Netherlands, to Garard and Gertrude (Van Beck) Schellekens. He served in the Royal Dutch Airforce. He was united in marriage to Catherine(Luxemburg) on September 26, 1950, in the Netherlands. He worked as a mechanic for Northwest Airlines for most of his adult life. He retired and moved to Hackensack, Minnesota in 1986. He was widowed when Catherine passed away in 2005. He moved to Hudson, Wisconsin approximately a year ago, to be near his daughter.
Mathew is survived by his children, Mathew F. (Theresa) Schellekens, of Fairbanks, AK and Christine (Charles) Burrows, of River Falls, Wisconsin; a sister living in the Netherlands; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Anne; and his brothers. Services entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
