Mary “Pat” Lee Heinrich, age 86, of Brainerd died Friday, February 14, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be at 12:00PM on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Light of the Cross Lutheran Church in Garrison. Rev. Juli Sutton-Deem will officiate and burial will be in Dykeman Union Cemetery near Garrison. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Pat was born on January 29, 1934 in Minneapolis to Walter and Grace (Hillman) Barstow. She married Arnold “Arnie” Heinrich on November 26, 1955. Pat and Arnie were two peas in a pod, always finishing each other’s sentences. The couple moved to the Brainerd area in 1968 where they raised their four children on the family hobby farm. Pat was a stay at home mother, teaching her children faith, hardwork, and respect. She was a member of Light of the Cross Lutheran Church in Garrison and walked passionately in her faith. She enjoyed reading historical romance, crafts, flowers, and birds. Pat was loving, caring, and a beautiful stubborn woman; who always put herself before others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Arnold “Arnie” of Brainerd; children, William “Bill” of Brainerd, Robert “Bob” (Lori) of Brainerd, Lynn of Brainerd, Thomas “Tom” (Amanda) of Brainerd; siblings, Gerald “Jerry” (Pam) Barstow of Minneapolis, Charles “Chuck” (Sandy) Barstow of Minneapolis, Susan “Susie” Barstow of Brainerd; eight grandchildren; and three great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James “Jim” Barstow.
