Maryanne C. Croak, 80, of Crosslake passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at her son's home where she lived for a number of years. Services for Maryanne will be held in New York and she will be interred by her husband at Long Island National Cemetery.
Maryanne was born on July 4, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to Harry and Mary (Cahill) Carstens. She graduated from Bishop McDonnell High School in Brooklyn, NY. She then graduated as a RN from Long Island College School of Nursing. Maryanne was united into marriage to John (Francis) Croak. She worked as a RN with Franklin General Hospital in Franklin Square NY until her retirement. John and Maryanne moved to Anaheim, CA for 10 years and following John's death in 1993 she lived in various locations to be near her family. Maryanne enjoyed sewing, crafts, camping, traveling, her pet dog, and being an active member of her church and the Altar Rosary Society.
Maryanne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John F.; an infant daughter, Alicia; and a brother, Robert. She will be sadly missed by her children; Kevin (Tatyana) Croak of Fishers, IN, Steven (Terri) Croak of Crosslake, MN, Denise Mc Nichol of Trenton, NJ, Monica (Anthony) Dicarlo of Baldwin, NY, and John (Victoria) Croak of Port Jefferson Station, NY; and sixteen grandchildren.
