MaryAnn Emerson

MaryAnn Emerson, 99, of Baxter, formerly of Minneapolis, passed away on October 20, 2021 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. She was surrounded by her daughters. A private family service will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery and a celebration of life will be on her 100th birthday, July 9, 2022.

MaryAnn is preceded in death by her husband Conrad, son Jay Emerson, daughter Mary Olson, and two great grandchildren Lynlee and Abraham Otterstad. She is survived by her daughters, Katherine (Dennis) Castle, Margaret (Randy) Thiel, Jill (Gary) Otterstad, Gina (Tim) Dwyer, daughter-in-law Trudi Emerson and son-in-law Steve Olson, twenty grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.

MaryAnn was born in Montfort Wisconsin on the family farm on July 9, 1922. She was the youngest of ten children. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and being at a campfire. She was known for her quick wit and her great cooking. MaryAnn was a very caring mother and loved her family. MaryAnn’s answer to living a long life was “not to worry”. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
