Mary E. Niles, 79, of Baxter, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Vibra Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota after a long complication from surgery.
Visitation will be Friday, November 21st, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. A memorial service will held Saturday, November 22nd, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour before the service at the Merrifield Community Church of the Nazarene.
Mary was born on October 5, 1935 in Donaldson, GA. She moved to Bainbridge, GA. where she attend and graduated High School in 1953.
Mary, married the love of her life, James A. Niles on January 2nd, 1954 and moved to Blaine, MN where she worked for Dunn & Bradstreet. Later moving to Merrifield, MN and worked for Clow Stamping. Merrifield was her home for 50 years. The last two years she resided in Baxter, MN and made lots of friends.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, step great-grandmother, sister and friend. She loved spending time with family, friends, Bible Study and living on the lake.
Mary is survived by her daughter Christie (Alan) Peterson of West Fargo, ND, son Wallace Niles of Wasilla, Alaska, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren, and two sister-in-laws. Mary is preceded in death by her spouse, James A. Niles, parents Bernard and Emma Cumbie, brother, sister and a great-grandson.
