Mary Gustafson

Mary Elizabeth "Mary Beth" Gustafson, 86, of Baxter, MN, died surrounded by family and friends on February 18, 2013 at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
Mary Beth was born September 23, 1926, in Cloquet, MN, the daughter of Arthur E. and Mabel W. (Kuhn) Gustafson. Following high school, she continued her education at St. Cloud State University where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Music Education. For 27 years, Mary Beth was a Behavioral Health Therapist for the Brainerd State Hospital and for seven years, she worked as a bailiff in Crow Wing County. Mary Beth enjoyed music, playing the organ and cards. She also enjoyed movies, books, and her orioles. She was a member of the MN Retired State Employees Association.
She will be missed by her children, Deborah Ann (Michael) Clover, of Grantsburg, WI, Kevin Don (Edita) Schmid, of Lowell, AR, and Krista Lee (William) Card, of Minnetonka, MN; three grandchildren, Ryan Golden, Alexander Card, and Elizabeth Card; and a great-granddaughter, Kylie Golden. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, June E. Casper; and brother, Wayne A. Gustafson.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 on March 18, 2013, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
