Mary Farnsworth

Mary J. Farnsworth “Auntie Mary” (Andrus), age 87, of Pine River, formally Minneapolis, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2020. Mary joins her parents, Edna and Joseph Andrus; husband, LeRoy; sisters, June and Carole; in-laws, Russell Olson and Randolph K. Pierson; great niece, Kari Olson Hoke; fur children: Honey, Pumpkin, Buchon, Sissy, Snapps, Love, Mocha, Boggie, Pity Putz, Missy Mixer, and Remi in heaven. She is survived by Mike (Leslie) Olson, Paige and Kyle; Doug (Claudia) Olson; Melody Usher, Erin, Cora and Leah; Rusty (Barb) Olson; Craig (Judie) Pierson, Randy and Jamie; Kim (Sherri) Pierson; Jackie Johnson, Blaine; partner, Ralph Bjorgaard; Lexie, Fritz; and ​countless other loved ones whose paths have been deeply impacted by the privilege to share time on this earth with Mary, as she left heart prints on all of us. ​

Mary and her sisters laughed constantly - you can hear them now. She loved her 4-legged children over most. Mary was a talented painter and had a beautiful singing voice. She loved fishing, bluegrass music, cooking, laughing, family gatherings and cheap beer. Mary lived, she really lived! ​

Mary’s family is grateful for her caregivers who loved her and became family to her. They are saints.

A private interment will be held at ​Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.
