Mary Brauch

Mary Lucille Brauch, 81, of Staples, MN died on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, MN, with Father Joe Korf officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 5-7 PM, with prayers at 6:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.

Mary was born January 2, 1933 to Robert and Catharine (Reinhard) Brauch in Staples, MN. She graduated from Staples High School. Mary worked as a seamstress for many years. She enjoyed watching sports, sewing, knitting, baking, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Mary was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was active for many years in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Mary is survived by her sisters, Grace (Chris) Schlegel of St. Anthony, Majorie Forte of Eveleth; 17 neices and nephews; 31 great nieces and nephews; 13 great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Jean Cichy, Elaine Brauch, Ida Kirk; brother, Charles Brauch. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
