Mary Jane Boone, 91, of Randall, MN died on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Diamond Willow in Little Falls, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at 10:30AM at St. James Catholic Church in Randall, MN with Father Jimmy Joseph officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 5:00-8:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall, MN and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow services at the St. James Catholic Cemetery in Randall, MN. Lunch will be held at the Randall VFW after burial.
Mary was born on July 10, 1923 in Faribault, MN to Frank and Clara (Endres) Burns. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy, St. Paul, MN and then moved to California. Mary married James Boone on May 10, 1947 in San Pedro, CA. They lived in California, Oklahoma, and St. Paul, MN before moving to Randall, MN in 1958 where they farmed until 1981. Mary and Jim then owned the Midland Station for 3 years before moving to Lake Beauty for 9 years. They moved to Dolores, Colorado in May of 1994. Jim died on June 14, 1995. Mary returned to Randall, MN in 2001. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for 45 years. She taught catechism, loved crafting, and decorating cakes. Mary also liked to read and crochet. She was a member of the Christian Mothers. Mary cooked for many weddings, at various restaurants and the VFW.
Mary is survived by her children, Tom (Nancy) Boone of Dolores, CO, Don (Paulette) Boone of Little Falls, MN, Marcy (Ben) Hedrick of Bethlehem, PA, Mary "Theresa" (Tom) Willegalle of Madison, MN, Cathy (Randy) Samuel of North Charleston, SC, Helen (Bruce) Motl of Browerville, MN, Judy (Pat) Raeker of Albany, MN, Chris Stavish of Randall, MN, Pat (Peggy) Boone of Fort Ripley, MN, Colleen (Duane) Dalquist of Cushing, MN, and Rick (Kelly) Boone of Oak Grove, MN; sister-in-law, Bonnie Burns of Eagan, MN; thirty one grandchildren; and thirty great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Clara Burns; husband, Jim Boone; brother, Frank Burns Jr; granddaughter, Erika Dalquist; grandsons, Jordan Boone and Billy Raeker; and son-in-law, George Stavish. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall, MN.
