Marvin Lembke

Marvin Richard Lembke, 84, of Baxter, MN died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Edgewood Vista in Baxter, MN. A Memorial Service for Marvin will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery on March 4, 2016 at 10:00AM

Marvin was born September 25, 1931 to Herbert and Mabel (Culbertson) Lembke in Wells, MN. He served in the US Navy from 1951-1955. Marvin was united in marriage to Lucille Palmer on June 27, 1952 in Arlington, VA. They lived in various locations, mostly in New Ulm, MN and the Brainerd Lakes Area. Marvin worked for Kraft for 34 years, retiring in 1989. He had a love for wildlife, especially loons, and the lakes and water. Marvin especially enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marvin is survived by his daughter, Lori (LeRoy) Tulenchik of Pequot Lakes; daughters-in-law, Donna Lembke, and Bev Lembke; brothers-in-law, Jerry Zabel, Jim (Bev) Palmer; six grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mabel Lembke; his wife, Lucille; sons, Randy and Tom; great grandson, Isaac Wilson; sister, Jeannine. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Edgewood Vista Memory Care Unit and also to St. Croix Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
