Marvel Caouette

BRAINERD – Marvel H. Caouette, 89, Brainerd, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at her home surrounded by her children. 

Marvel was born January 19, 1935, in Jenkins, Minnesota to Alden and Belle (Headley) Jacobs. Marvel began her career as a secretary for the Pillsbury Company and then became a stay-at-home mom to raise her three boys. She then began her second career working for MnDOT in Brainerd, until her retirement. 

Marvel is survived by her three sons, Brad (Marjorie) of Keystone Heights, Florida, Tim (Gaylynn) of Pine River, Minnesota, and Scott (Jen) of Becida, Minnesota, 6 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, as well as three brothers, Harry Jacobs, Des Plaines, Illinois, Dick Jacobs, Spring Valley, Wisconsin, and Jack Jacobs, Baxter, Minnesota, and many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alden and Helen (Belle), 6 brothers, Wayne, Clyde, Ervin, Zelmer, Loren, and Burrell, and three sisters, Helen, June, and Lois Mack.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with Pastor Bill Werth officiating. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the start of the service.
