Martin Bisson

Martin Bisson, 70, of Brainerd, MN began his Journey on Saturday, November 4, 2017, reuniting him with his beloved wife, Connie. The Ceremony for Marty will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at 2:00PM with visitation from 11:00-2:00PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. A luncheon will be served during that time at Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room. Burial with veteran’s honors will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul, MN at 2:00PM.

Martin was born March, 31, 1947 to Melvin and Opal (Kitto) Bisson in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from South High School. Martin served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked for the City of Minneapolis at the Water Department and retired after 30 years. Martin was united in marriage to Connie Kiel in 1971 in Pease, MN. They raised their family in Minneapolis, and after Martin’s retirement, moved to South Long Lake in Brainerd. Martin enjoyed playing volleyball and softball. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and a Harley enthusiast. Martin loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed sitting on his deck, visiting with friends and family.

Martin is survived by his brothers, Melvin (Tony) Bisson, Malcolm (Bubzie) Bisson; his girls, Heather (Mike) Bisson-Dale, Renee Lunemann; grandchildren, Breanna, Joseph, Cayden, Matthew; great granddaughter, Winona Kay; bonus grandchildren, Jimmy, Alicia, Emily and extended family and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gordon; and wife, Connie. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society www.lls.org. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
