Marlys Wall

Marlys E. Wall, 86, of Pequot Lakes, died Saturday, November 23, 2013. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday November 30, 2013 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes. Family and friends are invited to gather one-hour prior services.

Marlys Wall was born on August 12, 1927, in Pequot Lakes, the daughter of Elmer and Stella (Olson) Erickson. She was valedictorian of her class at Pequot Lakes High School, and a music major at St. Cloud State University. Marlys was secretary for Congress Marshall in Washington, DC where she met Charles Wall. They were married in 1951, and raised their family in Green Bay, WI before retiring to Pequot Lakes where Marlys was active for many years in Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She loved children, music, gardening, knitting, sketching and painting. Marlys will be greatly missed and will be remembered for her gentle, nurturing heart, her creative inspiration, and her joyful laughter.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Ken and her daughter, Joan. She is survived by her husband, Charles; their 11 children; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her eight brothers and sisters.
