Marlin Bloom

Marlin L. Bloom, 78, of Merrifield, MN, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 in Brainerd, MN. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 13, 2010 at the Wayzata Evangelical Free Church located at 705 County Road 101 N, Plymouth, MN, friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. Private family interment will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to Inner City Ministry of Our Son, InnerChange of Minneapolis.

Marlin was born July 19, 1932 in Hillman, MN. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marilyn; his children, Scott (Kari), Kimberly (Pat) Gieseke, James (Raquel), Ann Bloom, Jonathan (Pamela), Andrea (Rob) Bloom-Durnen; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Merle; sisters, Darlene and Verna; and brothers, Norman and Charles. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
