Marlene Moon

Marlene L. Moon, age 65, of Brainerd died Saturday, October 13, 2001 at her home. Memorial services will be Wednesday, October 17, 10:00 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with Reverend Michael Broberg and Reverend Mark Boone officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Staples. Arrangements are by Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Marlene L. Moon was born September 27, 1936 in Foxhome, Minnesota, to Edward and Violet (Fuder) Engebretson. She was married to Chester F. Moon, her husband of 48 years, on July 21, 1953. The couple farmed in the Pillager area until moving to Brainerd in 1982.

Marlene L. Moon is survived by her husband Chester; two daughters Janet (Steve) Gottsch of Brainerd and Jean (Al Yoder) Murdoch of Pillager; three sons Glen (Kathleen) Moon of Motley, Karl (Diane) Moon of Pequot Lakes, and Daryl (Janet) Moon of Pillager; two brothers Lloyd (Carol) Engebretson of Elmhurst, IL and Robert Engebretson of Brainerd; and 23 grandchildren. Her parents and a sister, Elda, preceded her in death.
