Marlene Held

Marlene Betty Held, born November 10, 1933, in Minneapolis, MN, to William and Alice (Olson) Bishop, passed away on July 1, 2024, in Pine River, MN.

Marlene loved dogs, fishing, bingo, music (especially eclectic music), and in her younger years she enjoyed gardening and her job at Fairview Southdale. Marlene had a great sense of humor and even though she was suffering, she never let on.

Marlene is survived by her husband, Arthur; children, Doug (Ann) Larson, Laura Traeger, Dallas (George) Fremont, Elizabeth Lemay, Bryan Held; grandchildren, Charlie Traeger, Emily Hausner, Will Larson, Haydn Lemay, Emily Dru Held, Andie Held; and great-grandchildren, Will Traeger, Emma Traeger, Alice Hausner and Leo Hausner. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Lorraine Bittman, Delores Olson, and Maxine Widing.

A celebration of life will be held on August 21, 2024, with the time and location to be determined at a later date.
