Mark Teel

Mark Scott Teel, age 50, of Backus, passed away on July 21, 2013, at home. He was born to Theodore and Margaret (Stropes) Teel on May 4, 1963. He was the youngest of ten children. Mark graduated from Pine River High School in 1984. He has attended the Pine River DAC since his graduation. They were his work family.

Mark is survived by his sister, Jennifer Hamilton (Paul) and their children, Lucas, Landon, Maggie, Clay and Clint all of Backus; sister, Cathy Teel (Karl) and their children of Backus; sister Marlene Lee (Alvin) of Davenport, IA; brothers: Gerald Teel (Janet), David Teel (Sue), both of Davenport, IA, Steven Teel (Pat) and Richard Teel (Patty), both of Buffalo, IA; 29 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmy; sister, Nancy; sister-in-law, Shirley; and niece, Molly.

Services will be 1 PM on Friday, July 26, at Lakeside Baptist Church, Backus. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
