Mark C. Pearson, 60, of Crosslake died Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at his home. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 19, 11:00 at Crosslake Lutheran Church, with Reverend Mark Anderson officiating and military honors provided by the Crosslake American Legion. Graveside service will be on Monday, October 21, at 2:30 PM at the Blue Earth City Cemetery in Blue Earth, MN. Friends may visit at the church for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
Mark Charles Pearson was born April 4, 1942 in Blue Earth, to Rodney and Mabel (Gesche) Pearson. He grew up and went to school in Blue Earth. He served in the US Army from 1963 to 1965. He moved with his family to Crosslake in 1981. He owned his own backhoe service, and cleared and dug many of the building sites in the area. He was married to Roselyn Brandt in Pequot Lakes on March 24, 1990. He was a member of the Crosslake Lutheran Church. He belonged to the American Legion Post 89 in Blue Earth, and to the Laker?s Car Club of Pequot Lakes.

Mark is survived by his wife Roselyn; two daughters Shawn Pearson-Humphrey of Crosslake and Nicole (Jerry) Blasing of Fishers, IN; a stepdaughter Holly Brandt of St. Cloud; four brothers Clair (Ruby) Pearson of Wells, MN, Larry (Shirley) Pearson of Albert Lea, Vernal (Vivian) Pearson of Pine River, and Merle (Barb) Pearson of Blue Earth; and two grandchildren Miryah Pearson-Humphrey and Carson Blasing. His parents, an infant daughter Dana Sue (1967), a sister Irene, and brothers Reed, Leland, and infant Myron preceded Mark in death.
