Mark Michel Jr.

Mark Jordan Michel Jr., 23, of Staples, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.
Funeral services will be on Monday, July 29, 2013, at 11:00 AM at Staples Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, with Pastor Bob Hepokski officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 28, 2013, from 4-6 PM with prayer service at 5:30 PM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Moran Township.

Mark was a kind hearted, hardworking handsome young man. He loved life and was a friend to many. He will be dearly missed. We love you Mark!

Mark's biggest joys in life were hunting, fishing and mudding with friends and family. He would hunt, fish and go mudding in all kinds of weather.

Mark was born in Redlands CA on October 26, 1989 to Mark and Donna (St. John) Michel. He moved to Minnesota with his family when he was six years old. Mark was a graduate of Staples-Motley high school. While attending school, Mark was involved in track, basketball and cross-country.

Mark is survived by his father and step-mother, Mark and JoMarie; brothers, Matthew and Jasen; sisters, Amy and Katherine; nephew, Matthew Jr.; grandparents, Betty Michel of California, Larry and Sharron St. John of Arizona, JoAnne (James) Slettom of Little Falls; aunts and uncles, Mary (Howard) Wierenga of Browerville, Kathy McKinster of Nevada, David Michel of California, Robert (Shannon) Michel of California, Paul (Rebecca) Michel of Utah, Fred (Julie) Slettom of Little Falls, Randy (Lucy) Slettom of Cushing, Steven (Donna) Slettom of Little Falls, Dale (Krista) Slettom of Cohasset, Sandy (Don) Lubbers of Little Falls, Rebecca (Ron) Jones of Little Falls, Marcia (Jay) Skrukrud of Spicer, Jolene (Richard) Walker of Little Falls; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna; grandparents, Leo William Michel of California and David Slettom of Little Falls.
