Mark A. Dano, 54, of Nisswa, MN died on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 on Lake Hubert while he was doing something he loved, ice fishing. Services for Mark will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes, MN at 1:00PM with Father Michael Patullo officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment at Pequot Lakes City Cemetery.
Mark was born on July 19, 1960 in Brainerd, MN to Jimmie and Darlyne (Puetz) Dano. When Mark was 17 years old he went to Oklahoma with some of his friends and began working on the oil rigs. Mark later moved to Arizona where he began a career in construction for 15 years. He then moved back to the area and worked for his Dad's construction company before going into business for himself, cutting trees and working in construction. Mark loved to fish, building a couple of fish houses on his own. He enjoyed watching old re-runs of Bonanza and other old western TV shows. Mark also loved animals, feeding stray cats, chipmunks, and his sister-in-laws's goats and sheep.
Mark is survived by his son, Dathon (Stevie) Miller of Spokane, WA; granddaughter,
McKinley; parents, Jimmie and Darlyne; brothers, Vernon (Paula) Dano of Nisswa, MN, and Tony (Debbie) Dano of Brainerd, MN; sister, Laurie Willer of Brainerd, MN; Aunt and Godmother, Marie Bragg; aunts, Carol Dano, Evelyn Caughey, Alvina Theis, and Arlene Freeman; uncle, Ray (Marlynn) Puetz; nieces and nephews, Jason (Sarah) Dano, Angela Dano, Valerie Dano, Heather Boltz, and Daniel Shindley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael and Anna Puetz and Robert and Edrea Dano. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes, MN.
