Marion Murphy

Marion Charlotte Murphy, 80, of Baxter, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 at her home. Private family services will be held.

Charlotte was born July 7, 1930 in Amery, WI, the daughter of Myron and Viola (Dunn Chapin) Crandall. After graduating from New Richmond High School, Charlotte was united in marriage to Frank Murphy on August 27, 1949 in Stillwater. The couple lived in Rice Lake, WI for many years before being transferred to the Brained Lakes Area in 1976. Charlotte was a member of the Easter Star. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed playing the organ. Charlotte's family was the highlight of her life and she cherished her time with them.

She will be missed by her husband, Frank; her son, Scott (Kathleen Kelley) Murphy, of Mound, MN; grandson, Mason Barnes, of Rice Lake, WI; step-grandchildren, Nick (Mary) Sandmeier and Heidi Sandmeier; step-great-grandson, Dominic Sandmeier; sisters, Dorothy (John) Schaumburg and Mary Ann (Clyde) Wright; brothers, James Crandall and John Crandall; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sons Brian Murphy and Mark Murphy; parents; and her sister, Muriel Pomeroy.
