Marilyn Stai

Marilyn Stai, 84, of Baxter, MN passed away peacefully Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Villa St. Vincent in Crookston, MN. Services for Marilyn will be 11:30AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Baxter City Cemetery.

Marilyn was born August 23, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN to Henning and Ruth (Jonasson) Gustafson. She graduated from Washburn High School in Minneapolis. Marilyn was united in marriage to Lyell Stai in Minneapolis in 1952. They spent most of their married life in Minneapolis, later moving to Baxter. Marilyn enjoyed her dogs, cooking, sewing, and baking cookies for family and friends. In her later years, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.

Marilyn is survived by her three children, Deborah (Dale) Kaehn of Crookston, Steven (Sheila) Stai of Eagan, Teresa (Gerald) Lenz of DeBary, Florida; ten grandchildren; eighteen great- grandchildren; and five great- great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henning and Ruth; and her husband, Lyell. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
