Marilyn Paskewitz

Marilyn Paskewitz, 77, of Staples, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at Lakewood Care Center. A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held at 11 AM, Friday, December 8, 2017 at Staples Church of Christ with Pastor Barry Klein officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Marilyn was born January 15, 1940 in Staples, the daughter of Edward and Inez (Chilberg) Olson. She attended Country School District 136 and graduated from Staples High School. Marilyn continued her education at Brainerd Technical College. In 1959, she married Dean Paskewitz and they were excited to celebrate 58 years of marriage this past summer. Marilyn worked for a number of years as a nurse in the OB Department. She enjoyed reading, antiques, and working with ceramics. She also loved flowers.

She will be missed by many and is survived by her husband, Dean; son, Neil (Reeva), of Rathdrum, ID; grandchildren, Jeremiah Paskewitz and Ingrid (Aaron) Miller; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joann Current. She was preceded in death by her parents.
