Marie Kne

Marie Elizabeth Kne, age 90, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at Edgewood Vista in Brainerd. Marie’s memorial service will be Friday, June 2, at 11:00 AM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, with visitation during the hour prior to the service. Interment will follow, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Marie was born February 10, 1927 in Chisholm, to Andrew and Mabel (Vukonich) Vicari. She was married to Andrew Kne in Chisholm on August 12, 1950, and was widowed after 55 years of marriage when Andrew passed away in 2005. She worked for 20 years as a secretary/bookkeeper at the school in Princeton. She moved to the Lakes Area in 1988 and was a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Susan (Mike) Nelson, of Donnelly, Dan (Kris) Kne, of Scandia, Patti (Tom) Jeffreys, of Aurora, CO, and David (Maria) Kne, of Bemidji; nine grandchildren, Andrea, Becca, Joe, Krista, Lindsay, Andrew, Kelly, and Tara; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; a grandson, Brandon; two brothers, William and Andrew Vicari; and a nephew, Billy Vicari. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or HART Animal Shelter in Brainerd. Services entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.

Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
