Marie Adamietz

Marie Adamietz, 84 of Staples, MN passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples, MN with Father Joe Korf officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7PM, Wednesday, October 4th at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with a prayer service at 7PM. Interment will be at St. Isidore Cemetery in Moran Township.

Marie was born June 23, 1933 to Leo and Emma (Hooker) Vogel in Moose Lake Township, Poplar, MN. She lived and went to school in the Leader, MN area until moving to Staples. Marie was united in marriage to Frank Adamietz on May 7, 1952 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Motley, MN. Marie and Frank raised their children on a farm near Staples, during which time Marie worked on the family farm along with working at Mid-Western Gas Station for 29 ½ years, teaching cake decorating classes at West Acres in Fargo, Staples, Motley, Long Prairie and Wadena Home Economics and Central Lakes College in Brainerd and Staples. Marie also operated green houses for 18 years. She enjoyed working with plants, flowers, cake decorating, quilting, canning and spending time with family and friends. Marie was very creative in making ceramics in her spare time. She will be missed by many.

Marie is survived by her children, Mark Adamietz, Marsha (Kim) Pexsa, Kathleen (Brian)Dobson, Albert Adamietz, Marie (Jan) Pexsa, Francis (Annette) Adamietz and Monica Adamietz; sister, Margaret Farber; 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Emma Vogel; husband, Frank; son, John; two infant babies; four sisters; and six brothers. Services have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
