Maria Borland

On Friday March 4, 2016, three year old Maria Jillian Borland died in her father's arms at her home in Pine River, Minnesota. Maria was born May 3, 2012, to Tristan and Jill (Trosen) Borland. Maria was a spunky, friendly, beautiful girl. She loved wearing princess dresses, dancing, eating mints, playing games, playing tickle-monster, and reading books with her mommy and daddy. She loved her best friends Teddy and Chas. Maria was a very confident little girl, loved making new friends, and was never afraid to tell you what she really thought. She loved watching toon-toons and would have watched them 24-7 if allowed. She is deeply loved and will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Maria is survived by her parents, Tristan and Jill; three sisters, Jovi (7 years), Tana (5 years) and Sadie (2 ½ years); her soon to be born baby sister; grandparents, Gordon and Debbie Trosen and David and Carolyn Borland; three great grandmothers; five uncles; five aunts; soon to be nine cousins; countless friends and other family.

Services have been rescheduled for 4 PM on Tuesday, March 15, at the Pine River-Backus High School. There will be no visitation Friday evening.
