Maria Biermann

Maria Anna Biermann (Muller), 87 years old, was born January 15, 1929 in Kiedrich, Germany and died March 20, 2016 in Crosslake Minnesota were she was a resident of the Golden Horizons Care Facility. Services for Maria will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 12:00PM at Crosslake Presbyterian Church. Visitation one hour prior to services at the church. She will be interned at the Tohoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington beside her husband.

Maria is survived by her brother-in-law Lurverne of Clermont, Florida, sister-in-law Harriet of Crosslake, and 17 nephews and nieces residing in Florida, Mississippi, Wisconsin, with the majority in Minnesota.

Maria was working in Wiesbaden, Germany as a secretary for the U.S. Government when she met her future husband Albert who was a serviceman stationed in Germany. They were married on February 23, 1956. She spent the next 20 years at Military Bases around the world and in the United States until their retirement and settling in Everett Washington where Al became a mail carrier. Upon Al's 2nd retirement, from the Post Office, they increased their travels, spent more time with friends, volunteered at the Everett Senior Center and worked on landscaping of their yard and garden. Al and Maria were well known in the Everett area as an inseparable couple.

Upon Al's death, Maria became a resident at the Golden Horizons Care Facility in Crosslake until her passing. A funeral service will be held on Thursday March 31 at 12:00 at the Crosslake Presbyterian Church followed by a light luncheon and lots of memories.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett, 3025 Lombard Ave. Everett, WA 98201; the Alzheimer's Foundation or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.
