Margaret Magnan

Margaret Rose Magnan, 84, of Sheyenne, North Dakota, formerly of Brainerd, Minnesota died on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. A memorial service for Margaret will be held on Monday, January 2, 2012 at 11:00AM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Brainerd, MN.

Margaret was born on February 15, 1927 in Dickinson, North Dakota to Joseph and Frances (Lepak) Guzek. She married Wallace Magnan on May 6, 1950 in Brainerd, Minnesota. Margaret worked for the Navy in World War II before working for Nash Finch Co. She also ran Parkview Resort. Margaret enjoyed fishing, bingo, and square dancing. She also loved card games and wintering in Yuma, Arizona.

Margaret is survived by her children, Craig (Barbara) of Isle, MN, Kathy of Sheyenne, ND, Marcia of Burleson, TX, and Jeffrey of Gardner, MA; and four grandchildren, Frances, Carl, Paul and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Frances; husband, Wallace; son, Douglas; brothers and sisters, Pauline, Albin, Leo, Francis, Edward, and Emelia. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services.
