Margaret Ische, age 87, Brainerd, formerly of St. Paul, died December 5, 2003 at Woodland Good Samaritan Village. Margaret was born on December 13, 1916 in Winthrop to the late Herman & Hilda (Wiese) Ellig. She grew up in the Montevideo area. She was united in marriage to Elmer Ische on October 10, 1937 in St. Paul. Following their marriage they lived in Newport and St. Paul. Margaret was a buyer for Donaldson?s Golden Rule for many years. Margaret has an incredible sense of direction. Following her retirement they traveled the United States. She loved to sew, crochet, and since she was blind had to do handiwork and crochet by feel.
Margaret is survived by her sister Dorothy Farley, of Brainerd; sisters-in-law Millie, Violet, Evelyn; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her husband, parents and brothers Burton and Donald preceded her in death.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2003 at the Woodland Good Samaritan Village Chapel at 10 AM with Reverend Arthur Franz officiating. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2003 at 11 AM at Salem Lutheran Church in Woodbury with Reverend Don Hochmuth officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
