Margaret Hines

Margaret "Muggie" Hines, 81, of Pillager, died at her home Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Chaplain Daryl Jacobson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel from 5-7 PM and Wednesday morning one-hour prior to services. Interment will follow a luncheon at the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room on Wednesday at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager.

Margaret May was born February 8, 1933, in Swanville, MN, the daughter of Edward and Dorothea (Lubbert) Berg. She married Ervin Hines in 1951. The couple raised their family in Pillager, where Muggie lived most of her life. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, flowers and birds. She also liked to paint ceramics, quilt, and work on puzzles.

Muggie will be missed by her children, Darlene (Norb) Cronin, of Nisswa, Bonnie Abear, of Pillager, Lorna (Greg) Manska, of Pillager, Darrel Hines, of Pine River, Roy (Leanne) Hines, of Brainerd, and Diane Kelley, of Pillager; siblings, Edward Berg, Gordon Berg, Viola Berg, Gertrude Warmith, Beatta "Tootsie" St. George, Larry Berg, Joseph Berg, Donnie Berg, Ernie Berg, Steve Berg, and Gaylen Berg; grandchildren, Dennis Cronin, Steve (Dorothy) Cronin, Rick Abear, Matthew Siegel, Brandon Hines, Amanda Hines, Jessi (Steve) Mudgett, and Dustin (Anna) Hines; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; parents; sons, Ronald and Dean; brothers, David and Lyle; and sister, Victoria.
