Margaret Giese

Margaret Giese, 83, of Staples, MN passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at the Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples, MN. Services for Margaret will be at 1:30PM, Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples, with Chaplain Daryl Jacobson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will be at West Lyons Cemetery near Verndale, MN.

Margaret was born October 7, 1932 to Lloyd and Ollie (Simkins) Goodrich near Staples, MN. She was united in marriage to Dewey T. Jenson in 1949, and they were blessed with three sons. After being widowed, Margaret married Delbert W. Giese and had a daughter. They made their home in Staples where she enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, garden club, bingo and playing cards. Margaret spent many years being a foster mom and day care provider.

Margaret is survived by two sons, Douglas (Heidi) Jenson, Alan Jenson; daughter, Theresa (Paul) Hagen; daughter in law, Vicki Jenson; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three sisters; three brothers; her many friends and the staff at the Staples Care Center who became like family during her 14 years living there. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ollie Goodrich; brothers, Franklyn and Jerry Goodrich; sister, Lorraine Goodrich; husbands, Dewey T. Jenson and Delbert Giese; and her son, Dewey L. Jenson. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
