Marcille “Marcy” was born on March 5, 1929 in Isanti County, Minnesota. She lived with her family (Rob and Gladys Lauer and grandmother, Gana) at Pine Cliff Resort on Leech Lake until the age of 12. They later moved to the Pillager/Brainerd area, where Marcy graduated from Washington High School. They were married on August 2, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN. Brainerd became their home when Merv accepted a teaching position at the high school. They also owned and operated Little Pine Resort for several years, where they created many great memories hosting family reunions and raising their four young boys. Marcy and Merv purchased Plywood Dakota (Minnesota) Business in Aberdeen, SD in 1978 and operated it until 1990. They returned to the lakes area to retire, and enjoyed traveling south together in the winter. Marcy loved being by the water and enjoying the beauty of nature. She also treasured spending time with her sons and her grandchildren. Marcy will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Marcy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Merv; three sons, Jim (Janet), Mark (Karla), Bob (Deb); five grandsons; five granddaughters; and several great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Laurel Jensen; sister, Maureen; brother, Dennis; cousin, Mary; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steven; and brother, Vern. Memorials are preferred to Lutheran Church Of The Cross in Nisswa.
