Marcella Jensen

Marcella M. Jensen, 90, of Crosslake, died Thursday, August 1, 2013 at her home. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Crosslake Lutheran Church. Family and friends are invited to gather one and 1/2 hours prior to service.
A gathering will also take place Monday, August 12, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 at Klecatsky and Sons Funeral Home (1580 Century Point, Eagan MN 651.454.9488). Interment will be in Grandview Park Cemetery in Edina, MN for immediate family only.

Marcella was born November 27, 1922, in Minneapolis, the daughter of George and Amanda (Hedlund) Jensen. Marcella was a dedicated employee and worked her entire career in financial accounts with Conoco Phillips Company. In 1983 she retired and moved to the lake home in Crosslake that she purchased in 1954. Marcella enjoyed her retirement years; she played bridge, knitted, read, and she especially liked watching and feeding birds. She was a long time member of Crosslake Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Wesley Jensen; sister-in-law Betty Lou; and niece Doreene Tacheny. She is survived by her nephew, Craig (Jeanette) Jensen; niece, Naomi (Mark) Eleeson; nephew-in-law, Kevin Tacheny; many grand nieces, nephews, great-grand nieces, nephews; and many loved ones and friends.
