Majorie Behrens

Marjorie Behrens, age 77, of rural Browerville (Sylvan Shores), died Wednesday evening at the Staples Hospital. Services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 in the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples with Reverend Mike Picconatto officiating. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Monday afternoon. Relatives will receive friends on Sunday after 2:00 at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Marjorie Elizabeth Behrens was born on May 7th, 1927 in Minneapolis and grew up in the Twin Cities. For many years she worked for the State of Minnesota?s Unemployment Offices. Following her retirement in the early ?90?s she moved to Sylvan Shores between Staples and Browerville. Throughout the years she has been a supporter of the Humane Society, Sisters of the Poor, and Doctors Without Borders. She is survived by 3 sons; Russell Behrens of Staples, Ernest Behrens and David Behrens both of Browerville, 3 daughters; Terry James of Brainerd, Linda of Crystal, and Laura, a brother; Jim Forde of Silicon Valley, CA, a sister; Arthella Mortenson of Phoenix, AZ.
