Mabel Pivec, age 94, of Crosslake died Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Golden Horizons Assisted Living in Crosslake. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 29, at 2 PM, at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Crosslake with Fr. Ryan Moravitz officiating. Private burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.

Mabel Anna Pivec was born November 10, 1921 in Hopkins, Minnesota to Louis and Rose (Dalbec) Donais. She moved with her family to Elk River when she was young. She was married to Joseph Wosniak, who passed away on January 7, 1971. She subsequently married Stanley Pivec, in Foley, and was later widowed again. Mabel loved to dance. She enjoyed traveling, crafting, and going to the casino, and her family was very important to her.

Mabel is survived by her daughter Yvonne (Charles) Butcher, of Pequot Lakes; grandchildren, John, Lori, and Brendan; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marge (Ronald) Paulson and MaryAnn Kemper. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Clarence, Bill, Henry, Clifford, Paul, and Larry Donais and six sisters, Clementine Laird, Melvina Wojciechowski, Mayme Dombrovski, Ida Flicker, Mildred Plog, and Stella Schneider.
