Lynn Peterson

Lynn "Tom" Peterson, 62, of Staples, MN died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. A Memorial service for Tom will be 2:00PM, Friday, June 19, 2015 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with Father Joe Korf officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services for visitation. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples, MN.

Tom was born April 21, 1953 in Staples, MN to Donald and LuZetta (Martin) Peterson. He attended school in Staples and graduated in 1971, and then attended Wadena Technical College. Tom worked as a bulk truck driver for his brother at Staples Oil Company, as a security guard at Lakewood Health System Hospital. He loved cars, especially Corvette's; was a member of the Brainerd Car Club, he enjoyed going to the casino, car racing, fly fishing and most important to him was his family. Tom took care of his mother until her death a few years ago.

Tom is survived by his siblings, Ron (Mary) Peterson of Staples, MN, Sandy (Ken) Hassler of Baxter, MN, Karen (Tom) Olson of Aitkin, MN; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Geraldine Bennett. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
