Lynn Olson, 79, of Mission Township, died Monday August 6, 2007 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd. Services will be 2 PM, Monday, August 13 at the Crosslake Lutheran Church in Crosslake with Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Estherville, Iowa on Wednesday. Relatives will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake. Lynn B. Olson was born August 5, 1928 in Herman, MN, the son of the late, Christ and Maude (Andrews) Olson. They moved to Minneapolis where he graduated from Roosevelt High School. He enlisted in the US Army. Following his honorable discharge, Lynn attended the University of Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Cheryl Bringle on June 14, 1953 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont, MN. He worked for Continental Grain for more than 40 years as a grain trader and regional vice president. Following their retirement, the couple summered on Horseshoe Lake and wintered in Kansas City, KS. He was a member of Crosslake Lutheran Church. He loved his family time and enjoyed reading, playing bridge, the outdoors, and of course, investing. Lynn is survived by his wife Cheryl; son, Steve (Shirley) Olson, of Savage, MN; daughter, Christel (Kevin) McGovern, of Centreville, Virginia; brother, Ernie Andrews, of Lakeville, MN; four grandchildren, Kerri, Kristopher, Greg, and Ally; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Beverly.
