Lynda Beard

Lynda Suzanne Beard, 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on December 20, 2018 after a fierce battle with cancer. The Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on December 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. Pastor Hans Anderson and Pastor Gary Sartain will be officiating. Lynda enjoyed teaching and caring for others. She loved her family, her friends, her students, and her church dearly. As a member of 'Team Baxter School Plus’' she participated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life for the past 12 years. Her legacy will continue as she already prepared luninaries for the 2019 event! Lynda was born in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Brainerd High School and continued on to achieve a Masters degree in Education at Bemidji State University. She worked for many years at Baxter school and most recently worked as a personal care assistant. Passionately assisting the families she served. Lynda is survived by sisters Cheryl Beard and Sandra Truong, brother-in-law Nha Truong, nephew Andrew Truong, niece Michele Truong, and other family and friends She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Marlys Beard Lynda was a friend to many. She kept her struggles private and battled fiercely. In lieu of flowers Lynda requested memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society “Relay for Life”, assigning them to Crow Wing County “Baxter School Plus”. “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” - Albert Einstein
