Lydia (Luithle) Graf
Angels took Lydia home on January 29, 2016, just one week short of her 102nd birthday. She left peacefully from her own home, with family present. Lydia's Celebration of Life will be held at the Verndale Methodist Church on February 13th, 2016 at 2pm. She was born and raised in Hebron, North Dakota, to Jacob and Margaret Luithle. Lydia enjoyed an interesting life, observing many lifestyle changes over that many years. As a young woman she experienced a variety of employment, including working as a housekeeper and a check-out clerk at Woolworths. Later on, in addition to being a wife, mother and homemaker, she rounded up cattle on ranches that she and her husband owned. Lydia enjoyed several years of one day per week, working as a bank teller.
Lydia very much enjoyed her family. She was always busy with many favorite activities including cooking and baking for family and friends, gardening, quilting, reading and in her middle-age years, even fishing and snowmobiling!
