LuAnn Wagner, 81, of Staples, MN passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at the Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples, MN. Services for LuAnn will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Joe Korf officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7PM, Monday, September 12 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at St. Isidore Cemetery in Moran Township.

LuAnn was born September 1, 1935 in Minneapolis, MN to Lawrence and Agnes (Goff) Monson. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis in 1953. LuAnn worked at the Bureau of Engraving in Minneapolis. She met her future husband, Thomas at the Prom Ballroom in St. Paul. LuAnn was united in marriage to Thomas Wagner on June 6, 1964 in Minneapolis, where they made their home until 1969 when they moved to Staples. A few years later, they built their home near Sylvan Shores in Browerville. LuAnn continued to live in Browerville after her husband passed away, until she moved to the Lakewood Health System Care Center in 2005. She enjoyed many different hobbies, including playing cards, crocheting, bowling, softball scorekeeper, movies, traveling to the cities to visit relatives, camping, reading, and bingo. LuAnn was an accomplished violinist. She was very active in St. Isidore Church groups, belonged to the Homemakers and was a Den Mother for her daughter's Girl Scout Troop. She had a big heart and was very kind to everyone. LuAnn most enjoyed her grandchildren and her family.

LuAnn is survived by her daughters, Deanne (Brad Mertens) Blake of Staples, Denise (Todd) Allshouse of Browerville; three grandchildren, Tina (Aaron) Richey of Staples, Ashley Ford of Staples, Nick Allshouse of Browerville; three great grandchildren, Lily Richey, Jeremiah Ford and Seamus Ford; and many nieces and nephews. LuAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Agnes; her husband, Thomas; and one infant sister. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
