Lorraine Proctor

January 31, 1928 — March 4, 2013

Lorraine Proctor, 85, of Staples, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013 at Lakewood Health Systems in Staples. Funeral services will be on Friday, at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, with Pastor Steve Sveom officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 5-7 at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples, and one hour prior to service at the Church. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, in Moran Township following the service.

Lorraine was born to Joseph and Bernice (Tepley) Bartylla on January 31, 1928 in Todd County. She worked at Morey's Fish Company, as a waitress, National T, and at Ernie's. She was a homemaker, a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Staples, and also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed softball, bowling, dancing, cards, crocheting and her Grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Sklenicka of Staples, Jacquelyn Brusacoram of Chisholm; stepchildren, Tammy Lewis of Lincoln, Kathi Cleveland of Staples, Butch (Brenda) Cleveland of Staples; companion, Norville Pervier; brother, Hank (Joyce) Bartylla; sisters, Virginia Chenoweth, Loretta (Bob) Altrichter, Angeline Bartylla; sister in-laws, Mayme Bartylla, Ethel Bartylla, Marvel Bartylla; son in-law, Roger Braith; 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband John "Jack" Sklenicka, 2nd husband Ken Cleveland, 3rd husband Lestor Proctor; step-daughter, Kim Braith; brothers, Vern, Ken, Gilbert, Bob, Lawrence; brother in-law, Richard Chenoweth; sister in-law, Jean Bartylla.
