Lorraine Peterson

Lorraine M. Peterson, 86, of Deerwood, died Friday, February 21, 2014 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby. Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.

Lorraine was born December 24, 1927 in Blackduck, MN, the daughter of Chester and Elvira Sessing. In 1949, she married Robert W. Peterson. She worked for the auditing department for Sears for many years. She enjoyed the outdoors - fishing and gardening. She also liked to travel, especially train trips. Lorraine cherished her family, friends and neighbors. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She will be missed by her husband, Robert; son, Gary (Diane) Peterson, of Elk River; and grandchildren, Timothy and Kari. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carole Jackson.
