Beeson, Lorraine Betty, age 85 of Nisswa and Pequot Lakes, MN completed her journey on this earth on April 3, 2011. Lorraine was comforted in death by the presence of her family.
Lorraine was born in St. Paul, MN on May 2nd, 1925. She grew up in Minneapolis; graduating from Southwest High School in 1943. Lorraine attended the University of Minnesota, joining Gamma Phi Beta. She married her high school sweetheart, Dick Beeson, in 1946. They spent the next 40 years in the Minneapolis area working and raising their family.
In 1989, Lorraine and Dick fulfilled their dream of building a home on Lake Edward. Through the years she created a place where her family and friends would gather and enjoy each other's company.
Lorraine leaves behind a legacy of those things she loved the most - her family and a lifetime of precious memories.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Richard Beeson, Sr., parents Clarence and Mildred Mann, sisters Maril Hammel and Peggy Mara. She will be missed by her loving children and their families: Barbara Bogdanovich and husband Alex of Pequot Lakes, MN, Mary Williams and husband Don of Urbandale, IA, Richard Beeson, Jr. and wife Mary Don of St. Paul, MN, Donna Hoelke of Excelsior, MN, and Daniel Beeson and wife Barbara of Baxter, MN; grandchildren Joshua Erickson, Emily and Evan Korkofigas, Meredith Beeson, Alex, Christian and Lissa Hoelke, Drew and Christopher Beeson; sisters Marge Yarger of Dassel, MN and Lea Fox of Colfax, NC and her beloved extended Mann and Beeson families.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 15th at the Northland Arboretum at 14250 Conservation Drive Brainerd, MN at 1pm with lunch reception following. Visitation one hour prior. Private interment at Pelican Woods Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Heartland Animal Rescue Team 15494 Dellwood Dr, Brainerd, MN 56401 or Pelican Woods Cemetery and Nature Trail City of Breezy Point, Breezy Point, MN 56472.
