Loretta Swanson

Loretta Swanson, 90, of Brainerd, MN died on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her home. Services will be announced at a later date.

Loretta was born on February 19, 1926 in St. Paul, MN to Harold and Mabel (Nelson) Davidson. She was united into marriage to W. Ray E. Swanson on September 12, 1947 in South St. Paul at the Presbyterian Church. Loretta worked at Swift and Company in St. Paul for 17 years. Loretta enjoyed gardening, cards, and owls. She also liked football, baseball, and hockey.

Loretta is survived by her children, Doug (Jeanne) Swanson of Randolph, MA, Brad (Catherine) Swanson of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Ernest Swanson of Brainerd, MN, and Jody Erickson of Rice, MN; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Corrine Meyer of South St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; son, Calvin; and sister, Esther. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN.
